We were tasked to write, direct and produce a short film for Akane Skincare, one of the most innovative french organic skincare brands.
Our goal was to boost brand awareness by picturing the values of the brand. Our concept was to create a character, the "Akane woman", that will incarnate the brand itself. We decided to create a male character, always in voiceover, describing the love of his life.
Eva is not perfect like the women we see in all ads, he loves as much her imperfections than her pure beauty. She is natural, lively, clumbsy, independant, free, she eats whatever she wants, sometimes healthy food, sometimes junk food. What matters is that she feels good in her body and mind. This is what makes her perfect to him.
Our challenge was to shoot a short movie in more than 4 locations in only one day in Paris. We pulled out a team of 15 people to make it happen. We chose the neighbourhood of Montmartre in Paris which concentrates a lifestyle that is unique in the world. Romantic, historical, poetic, and lively. Then, we made the wild nature drone sequences in the countryside of Lisbon, at Cabo da Roca, the further western point of the European continent.
